Gyula Mester, Full Professor, D. Sc., PhD, received his D. Sc. Degree in Engineering from the University of Novi Sad [http://www.uns.ac.rs/index.php/en] in 1977. Gyula Mester is a member in the Editorial Boards/Associate Editorship of 19 scientific journals and an invited reviewer for 27 scientific journals. Gyula Mester was also an invited reviewer of 17 proceedings of scientific conferences. He was 44 times plenary, keynote, invited lecturer and he participated in organizing of the 63 national and international symposiums, conferences and congresses. He was a contact person of the Robotics Laboratory of European Robotics Research Network at the University of Szeged. He is the member of the Scientific Committee on Automation and Computer Science, Hungary. He is the member of the Robotics Society of Japan

From 17st June 2019 he is the Full Member of the American Romanian Academy of Arts and Sciences.

From 22st April 2019 he is the Member of the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology – WASET.

From 27st November 2013 he is the Full Member of the Hungarian Academy of Engineering http://www.mernokakademia.hu.

From 6th December 2000 he is a member of the Public Body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

From August 1994 he is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences.

He is the member of the IEEE, The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He is, furthermore, a member of the 18 scientific organizations.

He is the supervisor for 2 PhD students at the Doctoral School of Safety and Security Sciences at the Óbuda University, Budapest, teaching 2 PhD courses: intelligent robotics, obstacle avoidance control of autonomous quadrotors. Gyula Mester was the supervisor and external examiner of 20 PhD Thesis. In the period of 2010-2011, he was also the supervisor for postdoctoral research. Gyula Mester was elected the Man of the Year 1997 and 2011 by the American Biographical Institute. His CV was published in the Marquis ‘Who’s Who in the World 1997’.
